Pre-Appointment checklist - Please bring:

  •  All relevant medical history and laboratory tests
  • A list of names and dosages of ALL your current medications
  • All eye drops and other ophthalmic medications
  • All insurance information and necessary referrals
  • Your glasses or contacts and sunglasses
  • Someone who can drive as your eyes will be dilated

What to expect

Please allow approximately 1-2 hours at our office for a new patient visit. This amount of time is necessary in order to do all of the examinations and diagnostic testing. Sometimes, there are delays caused by emergency visits or unforeseen events. We ask for your understanding during these times and strive to minimize any inconvenience to our patients.

  • Upon check in you will be greeted by our professional staff. You will be asked to fill out some personal information. Thereafter, an experienced ophthalmic technician will speak with you and take your medical and ocular history.
  • As part of the exam your pupils will be dilated. Once your pupils are dilated your physician will review your history, examine your eyes, and discuss your findings and treatment plan.
  • Various diagnostic tests and ocular imaging may be necessary. Testing is routinely performed on the same day to expedite the delivery of care and minimize the number of follow-up visits.
  • Once your physician reviews your diagnostic tests, a treatment plan will be developed for you that day.
  • Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped to provide treatments such as laser, intravitreal or peri-ocular injection.
  • We suggest that you have someone to drive you home, as your eyes will be dilated.
